The first band I saw in concert was a bit of an oddity, for a start off there were no instruments on the stage, instead there were three vast banks of computer equipment. If you looked closer, you'd see keyboards. The other oddity was that the audience was equally comprised of hippies and heavy metal rockers. Which I didn't understand until halfway through the set when Edgar Froese got up, strapped on a guitar and played guitar solo's that would be the envy of Black Sabbath. Tangerine Dream scored a handful of films, Thief, The Keep, Legend (sort of) and Sorcerer to name my favourites. RIP Edgar.
