Peter Cushing

26th May 1913 - 11th August 1994

Gaunt and energetic British actor much inclined to mad scientists and vampire foes. Made a rather splendid Sherlock Holmes and a sprightly Doctor Who along the way as well.
Became visibly melancholy following the death of his wife in 1971. Succumbed to cancer, aged 81.
