Leading American actor & director and the former Mayor of Carmel, California (1986). Although in his long distinguished career he has never won an acting Oscar, he has, however twice won the Academy Award for Best Director (Unforgiven and Million Dollar Baby).

His children include: Kimber (b.1964), Kyle (b.1968), Alison (b.1972), Scott (b.1986), Francesca (b.1993) (a daughter he had with actress Frances Fisher), and Morgan (b.1996) (a daughter by second wife Dina Eastwood.
He also had a long relationship with actress Sondra Locke, which ended in a highly publicized split in 1989.
