We've come a long way from the family friendly Sorcerer's Stone to this dark tale!

Too long, too pompous and over directed which keeps it from being perfect, BUT there are so many great moments and the tale is so beautifully plotted, almost like an Agatha Christie novel, that I was swept along (especially when Phil Glass' Koyaanisquatsi popped on the soundtrack).
Certainly the best film of its kind since The Matrix. Recommended.
PS - Leave the kiddies at home.
