The Big Job

1965

Director

Wonderful British comedy with Sid James as the head of a small gang whose bank robbery goes wrong. Whilst evading the cops he manages to hide the stolen money in a hole in a tree before finally being captured and sent to prison for 15 years. Later, when the gang are released, they return to the spot to retrieve the loot only to discover a police station has been built around the tree. Determined to get their hands on the money the gang rent a room across the street and devise a plan to carry out their task under the cover of darkness.
If you haven't seen this little gem then I thoroughly recommend it.
