The Shawshank Redemption

1994

Frank Darabont
Director

Based on the Stephen King story Rita Hayworth And The Shawshank Redemption, a young banker (Robbins) is imprisoned for the murder of his cheating wife and her lover. Despite his protests of being innocent, he is subjected to abuse from other prisoners and a sadistic guard (a brilliant Clancy Brown). In his bid for freedom he befriends a few inmates whom help him overcome the brutalities of prison life.
Despite being a box-office flop, it has grown into a phenomenal cult movie and is often quoted as one of the best movies ever made. ~ The Lord.

Extremely well done version of the Stephen King short story, Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption. Loaded 3 disc version of the IMDb favourite. ~ The Sloth.
