The Black Cat

Edgar G. Ulmer

Terrific teaming of Karloff and Lugosi in this tale of travellers who fall into the hands of the local Satanist. Genuinely creepy, awesome production design and a still shocking ending. Supposedly based on an Edgar Allan Poe tale, but the black cat is a bit of a red herring.
