A killer robot travels back in time to rearrange history. The best cheesy sci-fi B movie ever. Catapulted Arnold to mega-stardom and movie odd-job man James Cameron to A-list director. The stop-motion effects seem a little quaint these days, but this is still a low-budget masterpiece. Oh, and at it's core is a romantic liason that has been beyond the reach of any other action film. Highly recommended.
Note: Brad Rearden is credited as one of the punks, but it appears that this third punk was actually played by David Kristin. Supposedly he had an argument with Cameron on set and was denied credit. On the DVD Easter eggs, Mark Goldblatt talks about them re-shooting the scene with the punks, purportedly because there was bad acting (was Rearden fired and replaced?) Judging by photos of the two actors, it does appear to be Kristin in the finished film, and Kristin's daughter posted on the old IMDb film boards asking why her late father wasn't listed in the film credits. Would appreciate any further confirmation of this, though.
