The Tunnel

Trans-Atlantic Tunnel

1935

Maurice Elvey
Director

A driven engineer fights mishaps to complete a tunnel connecting England to America.

Interesting sci-fi curio cultivating Anglo-American cameraderie, with super special effects for its time (or nearly any other come to that) and many predictive trappings (big screen TVs, Skype- style communications). One wishes they'd stayed with the tunnels rather than the domestic lives of the protagonists, but there you go.
