Unbreakable

2000

M. Night Shyamalan
Director

A security guard becomes the unexplained sole survivor of a train wreck. Acting on an anonymous note, he contacts an art dealing, comic-collecting, mentally unbalanced Elijah Price (Jackson), who presents him with an interesting theory as to why he was uninjured in the crash.

Riding on the wave of success after his previous film, the modern-day master of suspense Shyamalan directs Willis (again) in an interesting, thoughtful and puzzling-at-times thriller, but there is something lacking in the way of sustainability. Incidentally, the director claims this is his personal favourite of all the movies he has made.
