Wonderful version of classic romance. MacFadyen and Knightley shine as do the supporting cast. I was quite happy with the Colin Firth BBC version myself, stop making this film, enough already. -The Sloth
Beautiful filmed and acted retelling of the classic story, and adaptation that knows exactly what to omit and what to imply. The whole Austen thing did get a bit carried away, both on screen and in books, but it was worth it for this. Would make an interesting companion with Wright's Atonement, another film about misreadings and misunderstandings, albeit in a much darker tone. -Dave Wright
[For someone special who never quite understood my obsession with this site, but has good taste in films, and has a lot of Elizabeth Bennett in her character...]
