Dr. Strangelove

or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb

Stanley Kubrick
Columbia Pictures

2 disc loaded edition of Kubrick's black comedy masterpiece. A film I have to be in the right mood for, and, like Monty Python and the Holy Grail, better to talk about afterwards than to actually sit through. And remember: "Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the War Room". Not Rated, but would be PG.

-The Sloth

Greatly overrated, like all of Kubrick's films; the satire is heavy-handed and some of the acting frankly bad (Scott and Wynn especially). That being said, it is a product of its time and worth watching, and Sellers gives one of his best performances (actually three of them), Slim Pickens and Ken Adam's production design are the best things in this one.
