The Galloping Major

1951

Henry Cornelius
Director
Romulus Films
Production Company

London neighborhood, led by pet shop owner Radford, decides to buy a racehorse. Unfortunately they buy the wrong one. Since he isn't a good racer, they decide to train him for the steeplechase.

Charming film with an emphasis on community spirit, much like Cornelius' other great film, Passport to Pimlico. Of course, the good old days weren't like this, but it doesn't mean we can't wish they were.
