Great Guns

1941

The first movie made by 20th Century Fox after Laurel & Hardy left Hal Roach 18 months previous to this picture. Stan & Ollie are servants to a young man who seemingly suffers from 108 different known allergies, but all that changes when he is drafted to serve his country in the army, and as loyal as they are, the boys join him. Unfortunately the laughs are few and far between, but there is one moment of great humour: a parade inspection where Stan decides to shove a live crow down Ollie's pants!
It's actually not that bad of a film, the only problem with it is that it doesn't suit typical Laurel & Hardy material.

Followed by A-Haunting We Will Go (1942).
