633 Squadron

1964

Walter Grauman
Director

Tale of Mosquito squadron assigned to knock out Nazi rocket plant. Perhaps never scales the lofty heights of The Dambusters or The Battle of Britain, but a good solid entry in the WWII movies of the 60s. Ron Goodwin's music is the star, you'll be flying round the living room whistling it.

-The Sloth

Trivia: George Lucas closely followed the final attack sequence of this film for the Rebel attack on the Death Star in Star Wars Ep. IV: A New Hope (1977). So there is a nice little bit of irony in that the leader of the Rebel attack appears in this film!
