As Sideshow Bob stands trial for yet another attempt on Bart's life, he suddenly drops 'dead' when Bart snatches a bottle of nitroglycerin from his hands. The townfolk accuse Bart of being responsible for Bob's death, but a suspicious Lisa uncovers a clue which proves Sideshow Bob had in fact faked the stunt in order to get revenge on Bart.
