Robin Hood and his band of outlaws must prevent a plot by noblemen to kill King Richard upon his return to England
First of Hammer's several Robin Hood movies (as well as their first color film) is a rollicking good time with a healthy dose of humor. Don Taylor is perhaps too hearty, and certainly emulates Errol Flynn too much, but Reginald Beckwith's Friar Tuck more than makes up for it. This time Tuck is portrayed as a con-man/card sharp rather than the usual glutton, and it helps the film immeasurably. Great fun.
