Astonishing skiing stunts, a girl who can hold her own against Mr. Bond, a demented but almost plausible villainous scheme from Fleming, John Barry's best score and a genuinely haunting ending. If only Connery had been in it...Nevertheless in my humble opinion the best of the series.
The "If only Connery had been in it" bit bothers me, because Lazenby is bloody good, but he's not Sean.
I saw this in the cinema in 69 aged 7 and it left an indelible mark. And I love it still. |
