Silent Movie

1976

Mel Brooks
Director

First outing on DVD for Mel's 3rd best film, this one concerns Mel's efforts to get a silent movie made featuring a host of stars in cameo roles. That's the theory anyway. Madcap, anything goes film. Hasn't dated well, as one viewer noted; "Hey, isn't that the guy that makes salad dressing...".

For the record the UK edition boxset differs from the US version by omitting High Anxiety and Blazing Saddles but including Life Stinks.
