Bulldog Drummond is called out of retirement to foil a robbery gang made up of ex-soldiers who use radar to navigate through the London fog.
Not bad Drummond film, the only one with Pigeon. He and Leighton are fine, especially when they pose as a bickering criminal couple. The film is let down a bit by Beatty and Doonan as the bad guys, who both seem like they watched too many 1930s gangster B-movies. Peggy Evans as the moll is not strong enough of an actress for the central role she plays. Also, the screenwriters don’t seem to know what radar is, as the device the gang uses is more akin to infrared than radar.
The last Drummond film before the two Richard Johnson (who has a small role in this film) efforts in the late 1960s.
Thanks to Philly as always for his input!
