Peter Quill and crew piss off some galactic one-percenters, and Star Lord finds his daddy, who turns out to be more than he seems, as well as a real jerk (I mean, his name is Ego, after all).
Fun space opera that perfectly balances the serious moments and themes with a good dose of humor. Some of it's crude, but it's still damn funny. Quite a bit better than the original, I think, thanks in no small part to Baby Groot and Michael Rooker - the latter of whom steals the film, as well as some amusing cameos (one of which explains quite smartly why Stan Lee pops up in all these Marvel films). Most of all, it has heart, something lacking in almost all films today.
