A Boeing 747 en route from Washington to Los Angeles, is involved in a mid-air collision with a smaller one-manned aircraft, which leads to fatalities in the cockpit and the need to land the plane safely. Up steps the head stewardess who receives step-by-step instructions on how to fly until a new pilot can be transferred into the plane before it crashes into the ground.
The first sequel to the original Airport movie is another long, drawn out, slow adventure which takes forever to generate any sort of excitement or interest. Despite the half-decent cast on offer once again, it is further proof this idea simply fails to entertain.
