New head of The Psycho-Neurotic Institute for the Very, Very Nervous encounters weird goings-on. . .
Genial spoof of Hitchcock isn't quite up there with Mel's greatest, and might resonate more with film students than the general public, but it's a pleasant way to spend an hour and a half. Brooks acquits himself well in his first leading role. I still think Barry Levinson steals the film as the worst bellboy ever.
As usual with so many of Brooks' films, it's hard to pick out many of the credited cast, especially given the vague character roles.
