A Jolly Bad Fellow

They All Died Laughing

Don Chaffey

Scientist McKern discovers a poison that makes people feel giddy before killing them, then leaves no trace. He then uses it to start ridding the world of useless people, starting with the snobs, sycophants and busybodies populating his campus.

Enjoyable Ealing-like black comedy, let down only by a wildy inappropriate jazz organ score. Too bad the only available DVD issue is an absolute abomination, with missing titles, missing footage, blunt cuts and other picture damage. Surely there are better prints of this film out there?

Thanks to Gerald Lovell for providing the missing title card!
