As the survivors become one less, Jack fights his demons and the loss of his father, shown through a series of flashbacks. Sawyer makes a suggestive offer to Shannon, and some of the group are upset when it is revealed the fresh water is seriously running out.

After an explosive beginning to the series, it is clear from this episode things are starting to slow down a bit.
